I know that headline seems like at oxymoron, but that really is the current state of things. My publishing calendar this year is pure insanity packed between my romance novels and my YA novels under my other pen name. I have resigned myself to a state of frenzy when it comes to getting words on paper and making sure those words are entertaining and enthralling.
But I’m also taking a step back. Or maybe I should say I’m in a holding pattern and considering a few steps sideways. This is referring specifically to my book show schedule for later this year and next, as I consider a possible cross-country move. I won’t have a firm idea of that until at least summer. It depends on a few critical factors, but if it works out, I’ll need to shift from east coast shows to more southwest and west coast shows. I’ve already got some key east coast shows booked for 2025/26 – I’m just not currently adding any more until I see how this all shakes out. I’ll let you know when/if the time comes.
I have two events on the near horizon: Love is in the Air, a romance book event at Ashcombe Farms in Mechanicsburg, PA on February 15th, and Happy Valley Comic Con at State College, PA (Nittany Arena) March 1st and 2nd. They’re both terrific events that feature lots of talented authors. If you’re in the area, be sure and stop by!
