So I’m in the middle of writing my next book, a contemporary romance set partly in Dublin, and I have to confess that I’ve never been there. I’m relying extensively on a whole lot of internet friends (many of whom are from Dublin or that area) to make sure I’m not writing stupid stuff or using dialect that any self-respecting Irishman (or Irishwoman) would sneer to read.
But oh, I want to go there someday.
Unfortunately, I’m not a bestselling author yet, and no one’s throwing six-figure book advances my way (yet) so Dublin is a dream for now, as is the rest of the Emerald Isle.
Or so I thought.
Then I saw this article about Wow Airlines out of Iceland running cheap, cheap, cheap fares to Dublin soon flying out of Washington DC, which is only a few hours from me.
Whoa, baby.
I’m gonna get my Irish on. Or maybe in (if ya know what I mean). I’m gonna find a cozy pub, pull out my battered moleskin journal, order a half-pint of Guinness and just sit and listen and soak it all in.
Research, you understand.
And while I’m busy getting lucky with the Irish, you can still check out one of my steamy books. I just posted book three of the Seeder Saga, I have a story out for Valentine’s Day, and even a free St. Patrick’s Day story with a little heat to it.
In the meantime, I’ll just be over here packing….
