FanFic Friday! In Honor Of Ginny Goodwin’s Birthday – Here’s One Of My Favorite #FanFic Chapters!

Happy Birthday, Ginny Goodwin!

As you know, when I write Once Upon A Time FanFics, they tend to be Captain Swan centered, but I always make a point to feature the other characters of Storybrooke where I can. In The Big Moment from my series of one-off Fanfics “Captain’s Choice,” built around the canon of my Memory Keeper Series. In this chapter, Hook and Emma’s daughter Meriel is grown and expecting, and we see how hilariously hard it is for Snow to keep a secret.

I love writing for these characters, and that’s due in part to the excellent casting choices in this show. Ginny Goodwin is an exemplary Snow White, and I just cannot imagine anyone else who could rock the role like she does.

#Fanfiction Friday – Once Upon A Time: Role Reversals (Been There, Done That)

In November of 2014, I penned my Fanfic “Friendly Shores” detailing a storyline that featured people all over Storybrooke (and the Enchanted Forest) waking up in someone else’s role. We had Pirate Emma and the three princes, Killian, Robin and Archie. We had faithful soldier Leroy, Regina the outlaw bandit, Mr. Smee’s Diner, Snow leading a team of seven schoolteachers, and big surprises for The Dark One, The Evil Queen, and the new town librarian. On top of that, we had Henry, working from outside the parameters, trying to save them all.

Gee. What a great storyline. Somebody ought to use that sometime….

FanFic Friday: Before They Found Romance – They Were Friends With Benefits

In my FanFic “It Is What It Isn’t”, Hook and Emma strike a deal to become “Friends with Benefits.” The fic was written during early season 3, before Zelena and before Emma lost her memory, so Neal is still in the picture, and he and Hook find themselves the target of a particularly nasty curse.

FanFic Friday: Captain Hook Goes “Adrift”

In my FanFiction, “Adrift,” Blackbeard sails into Storybrooke and throws a wicked curse right at our beloved Captain, one that sends him back to undo a critical decision. The ripple effect of the curse alters the timeline and the lives of all those Hook touched – except Emma, whose savior ways have thrown her to his side to help him correct all that went wrong.

Hook, Emma and the others travel again to Neverland, with a Pan who is far darker and more dastardly than his primetime TV counterpart (in fact, several parts of this fic are very dark so I will give definite trigger warnings for the fic overall – this scene is fit for general consumption).

In this chapter, Hook has to battle his self-doubts, aided by Emma, who has an unwavering faith in the man she’s come to know. Continue reading →

In honor of one of the best on-screen TV bromances, I bring you one of my favorite fanfic chapters that I’ve ever written. “Caught In A Bad Bromance” is the story of Killian Jones’s Bachelor Party, and in this particular canon, the gang is all in the Enchanted Forest, and Neal and Graham are still alive and married to Tinkerbell and Red, respectively.

FanFiction Friday! Here’s A Chapter From “These Dreams”

In my Once Upon A Time Fanfic, “These Dreams,” Emma gets pulled into the dreamscape by an evil wizard, and Killian voluntarily goes under a sleeping curse to get to her. Together they fall in and out of their own dreams, and the dreams of everyone in Storybrooke. This was, hands-down, one of my favorite fanfics to write, and I’m currently working on a sequel!

In this chapter, Emma has just realized that she’s aboard a ship, but still has no idea she’s trapped in a dream – Killian’s dream. Killian’s very naughty dream…

It’s FanFiction Friday, me hearties! Time for a chunk of steamy fanfic, served with a side of saucy pirate! In “Adrift”, Emma and Killian are thrown into an alternate reality by a wicked curse, sending Killian back to his villainous days as Captain Hook, only with an even darker heart because he thought he’d been the cause of Emma’s death.

When she shows up in the middle of his ship, it’s up to her to help him find his inner hero – a task that seems insurmountable in some ways.

FanFic Friday – Today You Get A Taste Of Family Life, Once Upon A Time-style

It’s FanFiction Friday once again, and today I’m going to take a slightly different tack. No smut, but some good, hard dialogue. I pride myself on writing my FanFic characters in authentic voice, and I think this particular argument captures the essence of Hook and Emma beautifully.

In this scene from “Finn’s Tale” (which is part 3 of my Memory Keeper trilogy), young Finn Jones has just stepped through a portal to go and find the woman who holds the key to his destiny, much to the dismay of his mother, Emma, who has decided to voice her opinion to the lad’s father, the one and only Killian Jones.
