In my Once Upon A Time fanfic “These Dreams,” Emma becomes the victim of a magical object that sends her into the dreamscape, running in and out of the dreams of everyone in Storybrooke. The very first dream she falls into is Regina’s, and I couldn’t resist riffing on one of my favorite movies….
My Fanfic Series “Captain’s Choice” is a series of one-offs set in and around the “Memory Keeper” trilogy, and in this chapter, we see Emma, getting ready on her wedding day, with a little help from Mom and Dad….
“You know, Emma, this would go a lot faster if you’d stop fidgeting,” Snow said, trying her best to keep a smile on her face. “I still say we should put it up.”
“Killian likes my hair better down. And so do I.”
“Hmmph.” Snow said, around a mouthful of pins.
“Do I really need all this crap in my hair? Really?”
“It goes with the dress,” Snow said, with a touch of exasperation. “Now hold still.”
“And this dress is so…white. I mean it’s practically blinding. Really, really white.” Emma frowned down at herself. “I feel kind of weird. I’m on my second kid with two different men and you’re marrying me in white?”
“First of all,” Snow said, with a bit of exasperation, “It’s ivory, not white-white. And it’s not ‘blinding’ it’s just sort of…shimmering.”
“I’m just saying that I don’t think I’m as qualified for the white dress as you were, that’s all.” Emma pointed out.
Snow was suspiciously silent, looking off to the side.
“Mom?” Emma’s mouth parted in shock. “Are you telling me that you two…?” Continue reading

In part two of my Memory Keeper series (Once Upon A Time fanfiction), The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, young Meriel Jones has to go back in time to defeat a curse levied by Triton against her family. The timeline was drastically altered by this curse, and Emma has to find her parents and get them back to true love’s kiss – no easy feat since they’ve now lived very different lives and are different people because of it.
In this scene, Killian Jones has been hunting down the elusive Emma ever since she robbed him of his carriage and he managed to steal a kiss in which she was a very willing participant. She’s on the run from Queen Cora’s forces, and he’s determined to keep an eye on her. Continue reading
We all remember the tortured look in their eyes, the pain on their faces as they said their goodbyes. The end of season four was emotionally eviscerating, and set the scene perfectly for a whole new Storybrooke in Season five. This week’s fanfic excerpt is from my selection of one-off’s, “You Had Me At Malfeasance“, and the title of this chapter is “Dark Heart.” Here’s my take on what happened after the dagger dropped.

As you know, when I write Once Upon A Time FanFics, they tend to be Captain Swan centered, but I always make a point to feature the other characters of Storybrooke where I can. In The Big Moment from my series of one-off Fanfics “Captain’s Choice,” built around the canon of my Memory Keeper Series. In this chapter, Hook and Emma’s daughter Meriel is grown and expecting, and we see how hilariously hard it is for Snow to keep a secret.
I love writing for these characters, and that’s due in part to the excellent casting choices in this show. Ginny Goodwin is an exemplary Snow White, and I just cannot imagine anyone else who could rock the role like she does.

In November of 2014, I penned my Fanfic “Friendly Shores” detailing a storyline that featured people all over Storybrooke (and the Enchanted Forest) waking up in someone else’s role. We had Pirate Emma and the three princes, Killian, Robin and Archie. We had faithful soldier Leroy, Regina the outlaw bandit, Mr. Smee’s Diner, Snow leading a team of seven schoolteachers, and big surprises for The Dark One, The Evil Queen, and the new town librarian. On top of that, we had Henry, working from outside the parameters, trying to save them all.
Gee. What a great storyline. Somebody ought to use that sometime….

In my FanFic “It Is What It Isn’t”, Hook and Emma strike a deal to become “Friends with Benefits.” The fic was written during early season 3, before Zelena and before Emma lost her memory, so Neal is still in the picture, and he and Hook find themselves the target of a particularly nasty curse.
