And Because I Don’t Have Enough On My Plate…Now I’m Collaborating On A Screenplay

Someday in Dublin

So I’m putting the final, finishing touches on “Windsinger” (cover reveal coming soon!) and I have a big, huge, I MEAN ABSOLUTELY HUGE project that I’m working under an alternate pen name, and I have freelance articles to write, and three more parts of the Elemental Destiny Series to plan…and now we’ll just add a screenplay for the hell of it.

What am I smoking?

Nuts. This is absolutely nuts. But I love this book and I filmed it in my mind every second that I wrote it and I mailed it off to an old college chum who happens to be a screenwriter to get her thoughts and now I’m collaborating with a screenwriter who thinks this book has great chops and good potential.

We’ll be working that in the fall, if I haven’t completely lost all touch with reality before then. I’ll keep you posted.

Nuts. I am freaking nuts.

Another Excerpt From “Someday In Dublin” – Don’t Piss Off The Leprechauns!

Someday in Dublin

In Someday in Dublin, Michael and Amy take a tour of the countryside and do a little shopping. Amy is determined to pick up a few certain things from her list.

“What do you think of these?’ she asked, holding up a pair of odd-looking girl and boy leprechaun salt and pepper shakers.

“I think they’re horrid,” he said. “You don’t plan to pay money for those, do you?”

“They’re not much money. And I think they’re cute.”

“The pepper leprechaun looks rather wonky. Her leprechaun breasts are uneven.”

She gave him a look. “Leave it to a man to focus on leprechaun breasts. Fine. I’ll put them back.”

“I’m only codding ya,” he said. “Buy them if you’d like.”

“I can’t look at the pepper without seeing her freaky boobs now.” Continue reading

And This Is Why You Always Order A Hard Copy Proof Of Your Printed Book

book

Yes, that’s the print copy proof of Someday In Dublin, held in my hot little hand. Oh, it’s marvelous!

And it’s f**ked up.

Something in the conversion process went awry – I’m not sure what because the template is letter perfect – and the first four chapters have double-spacing between the paragraphs. I don’t know why and they don’t know why and we don’t know why. And I caught two little typos that somehow slipped by me before. Ugh. Continue reading
