#Fanfic Friday! Killian And Emma Hop A Train

pandora

In my Once Upon A Time fanfic, Pandora’s Pain, the mythical woman comes to Storybrooke to retrieve her magical box, and her curse comes with her. Everyone in town is sent back to a terrible time in their lives, a time of misery and pain.

In this scene, Killian has just broken Emma out of jail, and they’ve hopped a train in an effort to get back to Storybrooke… Continue reading

FanFic Friday: Take A Trip With A Very Different Hook In “Adrift”

adrift

In my Once Upon A Time FanFic, “Adrift,” Killian Jones is hit with a curse that resets the last few years of his life, and the ripple effect has had some catastrophic consequences.

Emma finds herself facing a very different man and some very different circumstances. Can she help Killian find himself, break the curse and set things right?

In this scene, Emma, Hook and their friends are set upon by Zelena’s infamous flying monkeys… Continue reading

Fanfiction Friday: Killian And Emma Share A Dance

My Once Upon A Time Fanfic, The Memory Keeper was written during the Mid-Season 3 hiatus, and begins after Killian surprises Emma at her apartment and she slams the door in his face, having no memory of who he is.

I take the story from there, and weave in my own take on the wicked witch. But first…Killian has to win Emma over, and he does it with every weapon in his arsenal. Here they are at a charity ball run by Emma’s foundation, the aptly named “Happily Ever Afters” – an organization that promotes adoption of older children in the foster system.

FanFic Friday:

In my latest fanfic, “Twice Upon A Dream,” we see Killian, Emma, Regina, Robin, Snow, David and Henry all thrown into the dreamscape (this is a sequel to my earlier fic, “These Dreams” where we see a Captain Swan adventure in dreamland), and trying desperately to get themselves out.

They each need to find something (or things) associated with the number seven in order to counteract the curse that put them there, all while navigating through their own dreams, each other’s dreams, and the dreams of everyone in Storybrooke. It makes for one wild and exciting ride where anything can happen.

In this scene, Killian finds himself in his own past, and we get a cameo at the end from a character that lit up the screen…

#OnceUponATime FanFic Friday: Killian And Emma’s Nightclub Adventure #Oncers #CaptainSwan

dreams

These Dreams is one of my most popular fanfics, and definitely one of my favorites as well. Sending Killian and Emma into the dreamscape, falling in and out of their own dreams and all the dreams of the people in Storybrooke – it was such an adventure to write. The story really took over and became so much more than I’d envisioned at it’s start – especially since the readers were PM’ing me ideas!

This particular scene is part of a larger chapter of disjointed, crazy dream stuff (including a bit with the two of them riding talking dolphins). Any weird thing can happen in the dreamscape – that’s what makes it so magical! Emma and Killian find themselves in a bar, and the rest is just plain fun: Continue reading

#FanFic Friday: A Little Expansion On Killian’s Interlude With Dark Emma #OUAT #CaptainSwan #Hookers

knE

In “Siege Perilous,” we watched Emma using her dark wiles on Killian to no avail. In this fic, Emma comes back later in the evening to visit Killian again…

Killian set the flask down, giving his eyes a tired rub with his hand. It was very late in the evening, and he felt wearier than he’d felt in a lifetime, beaten down and depleted in a way that left him foundering.

She’d asked him if he loved her. And in that moment, that awful, lingering moment, he knew the answer.

If she had been Emma, truly his Emma, she wouldn’t have had to ask. Continue reading

FanFic Friday! Here’s A Sample From “The Memory Keeper!” #Fanfic #OnceUponATime #CaptainSwan

hook

In my Once Upon A Time FanFic The Memory Keeper (part one of the Memory Keeper trilogy) we pick up right after Emma slams a door in Killian’s face in the middle of Season 3. What follows is a grand adventure across realms, and my take on a very different wicked witch (since I was writing it before the rest of the season aired).

In this scene, Emma and Killian have to come to grips with their newly defined relationship status… Continue reading

#Fanfic Friday! – Meet Killian And Emma From An Alternate Timeline #OnceUponATime

mkd

In part two of my Memory Keeper series (Once Upon A Time fanfiction), The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, young Meriel Jones has to go back in time to defeat a curse levied by Triton against her family. The timeline was drastically altered by this curse, and Emma has to find her parents and get them back to true love’s kiss – no easy feat since they’ve now lived very different lives and are different people because of it.

In this scene, Killian Jones has been hunting down the elusive Emma ever since she robbed him of his carriage and he managed to steal a kiss in which she was a very willing participant. She’s on the run from Queen Cora’s forces, and he’s determined to keep an eye on her. Continue reading

#Once UponATime #FanFiction Friday: What Happened After Emma Dropped The Dagger?

swan

We all remember the tortured look in their eyes, the pain on their faces as they said their goodbyes. The end of season four was emotionally eviscerating, and set the scene perfectly for a whole new Storybrooke in Season five. This week’s fanfic excerpt is from my selection of one-off’s, “You Had Me At Malfeasance“, and the title of this chapter is “Dark Heart.” Here’s my take on what happened after the dagger dropped.

#FanFic Friday! Pandora Comes To Storybrooke, And There’s Hell To Pay #OnceUponATime #CaptainSwan #Hookers #Oncers

 pandora

In Pandora’s Pain, my most recent Fanfic for Once Upon A Time, we see a visitor arrive in Storybrooke, and she’s plagued by a terrible curse that sends everyone in town back to a dark time in their lives. In this scene, Hook, Emma and Henry are out for a sunset cruise when they realize something has gone very, very wrong:

Killian was right, Emma thought to herself. Henry handled the wheel like he was born with one in his hand.

She reached up to pull a piece of flyaway hair out of her eyes, but Killian beat her to it, curling the strand around his finger and tucking it gently behind her ear. She smiled up at him, leaning back into him slightly as she looked out at the water from her place at the bow. He slid his arm around her middle, and she tried very hard to ignore the casual way his thumb was stroking her belly through the cotton of her tee shirt.

“Better zip that jacket up,” he murmured low in her ear. “Once the sun is all the way down, it gets chilly on the water.”

She looked over her shoulder at him. “What? You’re not going to offer to keep me warm? You’re slipping.”

“I’d be happy to keep you warm love,” he grinned. “I’m still remarkably hot-blooded. But there is a child aboard so I’ve chosen to remain more…circumspect.”

“Is that so?”

He kissed her forehead, and she could feel his smile against her as he did.

They stood in silence for several minutes, just watching the sun sink into the sea. Killian had been right about that, too – it was incredibly romantic. She sighed, lifting her head from where she’d leaned it back against his chest.

“Why the long sigh, Swan?” he asked. “You’re not turning pensive on me, are you?”

“Maybe a little bit,” she confessed. “Just thinking about what life must be like – looking at this every day.”

“And now you know why the sea is any sailor’s first love,” he replied. “I suppose his ship is his second.”

And you gave up your ship for me, she thought. A glance over her shoulder at his face said he was probably thinking the same thing.
