Announcing A New Free Short Story: Atrophy! #FreeReads

When an ancient creature steals your last breath, the consequences can be…severe.

By request! Here’s the short story that got my brain whirling on the path that eventually created Windsinger.

This was originally a contest entry, and one of my first forays into the horror genre. It’s not a terribly long read, but I think you’ll like where it goes.

So sit back in your creaky house and try not to feel that cold chill on your neck as you read Atrophy.

Is It Warm In Here? Oh, Sorry….That’s Just My Steamy Novella…#romance #goodreads #kindledeals

Hunter

If you’re a fan of my Seeder Saga books and haven’t yet perused my novellas, this book is for you.

If you’re still on the fence about reading my stuff and have thought about the Seeder Saga – then for $.99 and a short read, this book is a good way to get to know how I write.

Because in my universe, the men are men and the women are all up in their face about it. And then the plot thickens, the clothes come off, the plot takes a turn, and the resolution will always be worth the wait.

I write smart women and equally smart men. I make them snarky and sarcastic and overly forceful at times, but I always try to keep the tension bubbling, just below the surface.

Want a peek inside this one? Check out the excerpt here.

And if you want to know how I like my men (and women), check out Captured by the Hunter, available on Amazon for Kindle or at Smashwords for all e-reading devices.

Now Available – HARD LABOR!

HardLabor_SM

Oh, the jokes I could make with this title and theme. Wanna get nailed? Here’s a guy who knows how to screw!

Nah, too juvenile.

But seriously, folks…this one is nothing but pure, hot sex. I like to write steam, but I do try to weave a good romance around it. This one is different. This one is straight, pulsing lust and friends with definite benefits.

And it can be in your sweaty little hands for a mere $.99 – just like all my novellas.

It’s short, sweet, and really pounds the point, if you get my casual inference.

Here’s the blurb:

Lexa Bradley got the beach house when she and her husband split. The problem is, the thing needs a lot of work. She hires a contractor that can give her what she needs – in more ways than one. She soon discovers that Jake is very good with his hands and when it comes to satisfying a woman, he knows how to get the job done.

Hard Labor is available via Amazon for Kindle and  Smashwords for all e-reading devices and PC.

Working Hard On HARD LABOR #amwriting #erotica #eroticromance

I’m technically on vacation this week, but with a writer that’s not really much of a thing. If anything, it gives me more time to write. Today, I’m putting together my latest novella, Hard Labor. Would you like a little tease?

And This Is Why You Always Order A Hard Copy Proof Of Your Printed Book

book

Yes, that’s the print copy proof of Someday In Dublin, held in my hot little hand. Oh, it’s marvelous!

And it’s f**ked up.

Something in the conversion process went awry – I’m not sure what because the template is letter perfect – and the first four chapters have double-spacing between the paragraphs. I don’t know why and they don’t know why and we don’t know why. And I caught two little typos that somehow slipped by me before. Ugh. Continue reading

Novels vs Novellas And Why I Do Both

novellabor

Adult romance is such a big, wide-open category.

You have everything from love stories with a steamy scene here and there to pounding, throbbing naked multi-player action that may or may not include fantastical beasts and battlefield implements.

Me, I write all kinds of stuff. I even have another pen name that I use for the more G and PG rated things like my YA fiction. And when it comes to steam, I’ve made no secret that I think story trumps sex anytime. That being said, sometimes you just want a good, dirty read and you don’t necessarily need the romance. That’s why I write both novels and novellas. Continue reading

Why Novellas When I’m Already Writing Novels? #amwritingfantasy

hunter_cov

As I’ve mentioned before, my new novella, “Captured By The Hunter” will be out tomorrow! I have to tell you that I loved the hell out of this one. Jodan was tremendous fun to write, and the dynamic between these two…whoo baby. When you add in Sci-Fi or Fantasy, sex can go all kinds of fun places.

This is one of my longer novellas, and I briefly toyed with the idea of making it a full-on novel, but in the end, it just wasn’t going to happen. I have (and I’m not kidding) NINE books on horizon. I’m finishing up Somewhere In Dublin, then I’ve got a four part fantasy romance series waiting in the wings. I’m also working on a non-fiction book, parts two and three of a YA series and another YA novel under my other pen name. Adding yet another novel onto the pile (especially when I really, really wanted to write this story NOW) just wasn’t going to fly.

So you get a more condensed (and intense) version, and new readers get a glimpse of where I go when I get to build the universe my characters live in.

I call that a win/win.

So look for the new novella, available tomorrow on Amazon for Kindle and Smashwords for all e-reading devices and PC!
